Robert challenges educators and administrators to take a survey of student’s needs to find out what motivates them in and out of the classroom. This is one strategy of Building Healthy Relationships with students. You can’t teach who you can’t reach. Securing a student’s attention is our most important task as educators. This interactive session will give strategies and solutions to building healthy relationships with students and staff and what to eliminate. Students need to hear something positive about them daily, but educators must self-evaluate in order to meet their needs. Educators will be challenged to raise their awareness of mental models and personal biases that affect their interactions with students.
